Elder Albert Quaicoe of Achimota English Assembly has asserted that “there is no way a believer can sing a victory song by running away from battles. Songs of victory are born out of winning battles.”

Speaking to the theme ‘Possessing by the Spirit’ at the Achimota District Week 2 celebration on Wednesday evening June 19, 2019 at the Achimota Central Auditorium, Elder Albert Quaicoe urged believers to yearn to be full of the Holy Spirit.

Referring to Numbers 14:24, He noted that “The secret to Caleb’s positive attitude inspite of the threats they were exposed to was that he had a different spirit. No matter what you are going through if you are full of the Holy Spirit you shall surely prevail.”

Touching on being filled with the Spirit, Elder Albert Quaicoe stated that “there is something unique about people who are full of the Holy Spirit, such people know their purpose and understand their callings. The Holy Spirit has the power to bring to life every dead thing.”

“Saul who was anointed by God as a King and even prophesied after his ordination couldn’t kill Goliath because he was rejected by God. When you let sin creep into your life, you will eventually lose the glory of God,” he added.

“But David who was once a shepherd boy became a giant killer because he had a different spirit and was faithful to God at that tender age, he stated.”

“Are you downhearted? Are you still fighting that old battle? Oh weeping may endure but for a night and joy will come in the morning,” he encouraged.

“Dare to change your battle ground by lifting up your battles to God in prayers . As a lion cannot fight and win a battle in an ocean so a believer cannot win any battle in the flesh,” he challenged.

“They may come up against us with spears and arrows but our security is found in God. We will surely live to see the destruction of our enemies, he concluded.

Present at the gathering were the District Minister and wife, Pastor Jonathan and Mrs. Regina Kofie, the District Executive Committee Members and other Elders within the District.
